- Raw Material: All
raw material used in the manufacture of cables are from
established and proven suppliers and same are checked
before using in the cable production.
- Finished Cable: The
finished cables are tested fully for Routine tests and
Type tests to ensure the excellent quality of each every
length of the cables before despatch.

- Application : VF
Transmission digital system, Local Network,Public, Private
and Industrial.
- Construction: The
Cable is made up of:
- Standards: Generally
Complying to IEC 60708 - 1
- Conductor : Solid
plain annealed high conductivity copper round wire
of nominal dia 0.4, 0.50,0.65 0.80, 0.90 mm. As per
IEC 28 & ASTM B3.
- Insulation: Solid
extruded Polythene insulation grade stablized. 100%
Virigin material and coloured as per requirment ( As
per BS 6234 Type 03).
- Pairs/Quad: Quad
or two coloured insulated conuctors of specified colours
twisted together with pre-dertrmined lay to form a pair, in order to minimize cross talk.
- Units(U): 10/20
pairs stranded and a open helical binder of polyester
/ PP/PE Tape of specified colours applied to form a
unit.
- Super Units (SU):
- Five Nos, - of 10 pairs twisted together to form
- 50 pair super unit - OR
- five Nos. - of 20 pairs units together to form 100
pair super unit.
- Each super unit have an open helical binder of
Polyester / PP/PE tape of specified colour for identification.
- Spares pair added in each super unit as per requirements.
- Cabling/Filling:
- For cables above 100 pairs cable the required number
of super units are stranded to form a cable core.
- The cable core is fully filled with jelly (water
resistance compound) which is compatible with the
insulation.
- The filled cable core is wrapped with a tape and
the flodding compound is applied.
- Sheath: The cable
is sheathed with Extruded black polythene compound of
grade 03c of BS 6234 and confirming to the requirment
of specification.
- Identification and Marking: On the finished cable sheath / jacket the cable
identification and marking is done by embosing / printing
as per the requirment of customer / specification.
- Quality Assurance: "TERA
CAB " Telecom cable are manufactured with advanced
production machines and checked with modern computer
test equipments at different stages and QA plan followed
to ensure Total Quality.
- Process: Cables
are checked at each stage of production and the process
is monitored for consistency and uniformity of quality
throughout the production.
- Suspension Strand : Is the steel wire or stranded cable. molded into
the outer sheath parallel with the cable core as a suspension
strength member.
- Screen: A
alminium tape coated both side with polythene is applied
longitudinally with overlap over the cable core. The
laminated alumium tape is sealed at the overlap and
bounded to the inner surface of the inner surface of
the extruded Polythene sheath over screen.
